This material is incredibly versatile and can be used in a variety of ways.
Tyvek is a little-known wonder of the world of art and design. It can be used in so many ways, from beads to bags and badges. It can be sewn, heated, melted, glued, painted, written on, coloured, printed by some printers... The possibilities are endless!
The 'paper' has also been used for:
- waterproof lunchbags
- gift tags
- scrapbook covers
- artificial flowers
- 3D paintings
- macramé & crochet
- and so much more!
For inspiration, see this incredible piece of artwork by Japanese born artist Taiko Chandler. It consists of around 90 sheets of hand-pulled Tyvek which has been printed, cut and assembled by hand. The finished piece is also expandable and flexible.
