Citroen 2CV Charleston- A little history

Posted by Correy Brown on

The Charleston, 1981

The Citroen 2CV (the '2CV' standing for deux chevaux, or 2 horses) Charleston was the first of the 2CVs to be produced in a duo colour scheme. Initially, it was only available in red and black as a limited edition, of which there were only 400. Other colours followed, including yellow and black and two-tone grey.

In February 1989, the production of all 2CVs ceased, with 5,114,940 vehicles produced!

There are currently only 3309 Citroen 2CV cars left on the road in the UK.

You can chose the colour scheme on our 2CV Charleston colouring page!
